The Swedish Parkinson Foundation, Parkinsonfonden

In 1987 The Swedish Parkinson’s Disease Association initiated the launching of a research funding organization called the Swedish Parkinson Foundation. The Foundation is under the patronage of her Majesty Queen Silvia and is dedicated to support clinical research in the Parkinson area. The Swedish Parkinson Foundation, (Parkinsonfonden).

How to help

Travel grants (see application form under ”Söka anslag – Reseanslag”)

You can apply for support for research visits in other labs, conference and registration fees, transportation and hotel costs (economy class) etc. but not for daily allowance. Active participation is mandatory (lecture, poster session etc.). Accepted abstract must be enclosed. If abstract has not been approved when applying, you can enclose a preliminary abstract. As soon as the abstract is accepted inform the Foundation (pfonden@hotmail.com) about date for acceptance, name and date of conference.

The Foundation will not support travels earlier than 2 months after deadline. Travels are granted no more than SEK 10,000 within Europe and no more than SEK 15,000 to other countries. Please note that all applications and reports should be sent to the project administration (anslag@parkinsonfonden.se) as Word documents.
